How Duclay Junk Removal Works

A clear, step-by-step look at our process — from your first call to the final site check.

We've built our process around one goal: making junk removal as simple and painless as possible for Jacksonville homeowners, renters, and property managers. You shouldn't have to do any prep work, move anything, or deal with vague pricing. Here's exactly what to expect from the moment you reach out to the moment we drive away.

Most jobs are completed in a single visit. For large estate cleanouts or hoarding situations, we may schedule multi-day jobs — but we'll communicate that clearly from the assessment stage. No surprises.

01

Contact Us

Call us at (904) 682-9517, or fill out our online quote request form. Give us a brief description of what needs to be removed — a general list of items and rough quantities is all we need to get started. We're available Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 11:30 pm and weekends from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.

02

On-Site Assessment & Quote

When our crew arrives, we'll take a quick look at the job before any work begins. We assess volume, accessibility, and any special handling needs — then we give you a firm quote on the spot. No obligation, no pressure. If the price works for you, we get started immediately. There are no hidden fees added after the job is done.

03

Item Sorting

Before we start loading, we sort items into categories: donation candidates, recyclable materials, and items destined for disposal. Furniture in good condition, usable appliances, and household goods are flagged for donation to Jacksonville-area organizations. Metal components from appliances and other items are separated for scrap recycling. This sorting step happens on-site as part of our standard process.

04

Loading

Our crew does all the heavy lifting. You don't need to move anything or help carry items — we handle everything from the point of pickup to the truck. We work efficiently to minimize time in your space. For large furniture and appliances, we use dollies, straps, and proper two-person lifting techniques to protect your floors, walls, and doorframes during removal.

05

Hauling

Once the truck is loaded and secured, we head out. Items are transported to the appropriate end destinations: donation centers, recycling facilities, or licensed waste disposal sites. We use covered truck beds to keep loads secure during transport. Depending on the job, a single trip is usually sufficient — for larger estate cleanouts, we may make multiple runs.

06

Final Site Check

Before we leave your property, we do a final walkthrough to confirm everything has been cleared as agreed. If you want us to sweep out a garage or tidy up after loading, just let us know. We want the space to look better after we leave than it did when we arrived. Payment is collected at the end of the job once you're satisfied.

Where Your Junk Actually Goes

We take responsible disposal seriously. Every load is sorted before it leaves your property.

Donation

Usable furniture, clothing, household goods, and working appliances are routed to local Jacksonville donation centers and organizations. Items that still have life in them don't belong in a landfill.

Recycling

Metal from appliances, electronics components, and recyclable materials are taken to appropriate scrap and recycling facilities. We divert as much as possible from landfill disposal.

Licensed Disposal

What cannot be donated or recycled is taken to licensed waste disposal facilities in compliance with local Jacksonville and Duval County regulations. No illegal dumping — ever.

Equipment & Safety Standards

Duclay Junk Removal operates a fully equipped junk hauling truck capable of handling high-volume loads. Our crew uses commercial-grade dollies, moving straps, and furniture pads where needed to protect your property during removal. Two-person loading procedures are standard on all heavy items.

We take care around narrow doorways, stairs, and tight spaces. If a removal presents unusual access challenges — for example, items in a basement or upper-floor bedroom — just mention it when you call so we can come prepared with the right equipment.

Safety on the job site is non-negotiable. Our crew follows proper lifting protocols on every job to protect both our team and your property. We carry the appropriate coverage for operations in Duval County and surrounding areas.
